Erik Chandler • Sleep Apnea

“After 7 years of suffering from depression, I was seeing no end in sight. Before I went to see Dr. Barker I was skeptical and didn’t understand that sleep played such a vital role in how I felt. In less than a year after my sleep study, I was off of anti-depressants. I can’t tell you how much better I feel. It’s like the fog has lifted and I can finally see again”

Don Hudson • Sleep Apnea & Insomnia

“I went to three different sleep clinics and had one major, unnecessary surgery. Then I went to see Dr. Barker, did the sleep studies, and got prescribed the therapy that I use. After the first night of using that therapy, I got the first good night’s sleep I’ve gotten in 25 years. It changed my entire life.”

Sharon Johnson • Sleep Apnea

“I was dealing with overwhelming fatigue and found out I had sleep apnea. I was put on CPAP therapy. I started to go back downhill, and Dr. Barker prescribed a very specific medication to help me sleep at night. It clicked. It changed everything. I went from just existing to actually having a life. It made a huge different in my quality of life. Dr. Barker is wonderful and very supportive.”

Sleep and Aging

Along with the physical changes that occur as we get older, changes to our sleep patterns are a part of the normal aging process. As people age they tend to have a harder time falling asleep and more trouble staying asleep than when they were younger. It is a common misconception that sleep needs decline with age. In fact, research demonstrates that our sleep needs remain constant throughout adulthood. So, what’s keeping seniors awake?

Tune in this Saturday from 9 a.m to 10 a.m. on NewsTalk 98.7  on “More Living with Jim Brogan”. Brogan will be speaking with Dr. Barker about the effects of sleep and aging. You won’t want to miss!
